Trypsin assay
Trypsin not only digests proteins from food, it also involves multiple biological functions such as activation of kallikrein which regulates blood pressure and activation of PAR-receptors in inflammatory processes and immunological reactions. Trypsin is made by pancreas and is an optimal marker for detecting changes in the physiological state of the pancreas. In the biotechnology industry and life science research, trypsin is a common enzyme used for protein engineering and the development of antibodies.
